EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EUMCCI) is a public non-profit organisation based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One of their employees is Dutch, the rest are from either Malaysia or other EU-countries. We therefore would like to communicate in English.
EUMCCI is an umbrella organisation of all EU chambers of commerce and business councils, whose members are also EUMCCI members, altogether 1088 corporations.
Our mission is to promote, support and develop EU business interests in Malaysia as well as facilitate trade, commerce and investments between European Union and Malaysia. In order to fulfil its mission, EUMCCI carries out activities that will catalyze and stimulate networking of European companies in Malaysia with the Malaysian business community, business associations, relevant ministries, official representations and other Chambers in Asia. These activities are balanced between social and business activities.
Our objectives are:
- To develop and enhance EU position and image in Malaysia
- High profile lobbying/dialogue with Institutions, Government
- Speed up decisions and actions within the ministries and authorities
- Promote and market EU technologies, SMEs products and services in Malaysia
- Facilitate the dialogue between the European private sector and Malaysian government
- Provide consulting for EU funded project applications
- Promote the publications of the European Union (sole agent in Southeast Asia)
EUMCCI Committees are platforms for EUMCCI members of specific sectors. The Committees meet regularly to discuss issues affecting their particular industries, to hold seminars with guest speakers from the government, academia and business and to lobby with the government. Each committee is responsible for writing a Trade Issues and Recommendations paper outlining the most pressing business problems and recommendations for the government to reduce these issues. Every year all Position Papers drafted by the Committees are compiled into a “EUMCCI Trade Issues & Recommendations” paper. This document is circulated among Government administrations, relevant authorities in Malaysia and the European Commission in Brussels.
We choose to redesign our logo, due to several different factors:
- Our organisation has developed the last few years; a new look would reflect our dynamic organisation
- We feel a new logo would communicate better the refreshed identity and image we want to display
- Black/white version "cci" is hard to read in print and on Power Points.

Uitstraling:
Professional, Dynamic, Reliable, friendly
Eisen:
We prefer having a visual/icon/symbol that can be used separately from the text) So we can use the logo in several ways:
- Only the visual
- Visual plus "EUMCCI"
- Visual plus EU-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Note: Also include the business registration number in the logo, compulsory in Malaysia: 263470-U

Tekst / beeld:
We will use the logo for print as well as online purposes. We want the logo (or only the symbol) to fit on small items like pens, so it should be readable in small sizes. Also, we would like to be able to use it in black and in white.

Opmerkingen:
Please communicate with us in English, if this really is a problem, Dutch is also possible, but this will delay communications.
Remember Asian and for example South European people like different things than Dutch people, the logo should be internationally appreciated.
We would like to see the logo, the business card and letterhead. (briefpapier)
