Hi Karen,

Here's an alternate version with the moon and star more naturally depicted.

Kind regards,

Dear Olaf,

Thank you for your logo proposal. It's nice but it has too many details. Could you please make it simpler?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Marianna (Karen will be back to the office next week)

Hello Marianna,

I believe the logo is perfectly in balance with all of the elements of the old logo integrated into it. Yet, I've removed all elements which are expendable. Then it looks like this...

Cheers,
Olaf

Dear Olaf,

Yes now the logo is more balanced, but there aren't anymore elements of the EU.
Any other idea to make it more, let's say, "european"?
Thanks,
Marianna

Marianna, the only thing suitable as a symbol of Europe or the EU is the star imo. Apart from the circle of 12 stars which is in the first sets of logo-proposals, these are two other ways of re-integrating the star(s) into the logo...

It's also possible to place a lighter blue star behind the EU-letters, yet I wasn't pleased with the look. If you would like to see this option as well, just let me know.

I don't think the stars in the blue sky around the moon and different shaped yellow star of the Malaysian flag is a good combination. It starts to look more like the US-flag in this manner. I'd settle for option 1 of the above.

Cheers,
Olaf

Hi Olaf,

Right, the last one reminds me the US flag!\
I was thinking that maybe you can take off the moon and the star. Instead of them you can put an half circle of yellow stars on the lefts side.
Let's see how does it look.
Thank you.

Kind regards,

Marianna

Dear Marianna,

I've made two altered versions of the stripped-down logo based upon your request. On the first one I've placed the 12 stars of the EU-logo in a half circle and made them yellow.

In the second picture I tried to place the 12 stars in the shape of the moon. If you look very close it looks a bit like an abstract version of a smiling face-like moon :-)

Maybe it would be even look better if I rotated it 45-55 degrees clockwise and expand it a bit, like 150% bigger, filling the sky a bit more.

In any case the stars according to the regulations of the EU-corporate identity rules should not be rotated around their axes and their should always 12 stars depicted.

I would like to have your take on this.

Cheers,

Olaf
