Hello

I have combined the two flags and give it a little 'action'. The font i used has a 'serious' look but is also modern.

I look forward to your response.

(I hope you understand my english )

best wishes

Dear Marja,
First of all, your English is fine. I am Dutch myself; I just want the people at EUMCCI to be able to read what we are talking about. ;)

Thank you for designing the logo. We like the way you are playing with the colours. Also, you put effort in showing us what this design looks like with the full name, with the letters only, et cetera.

Just like the other designers up till now, you chose to use the various elements of the EU flag and the Malaysian flag. You also made the logo a bit more dynamic by adding the white spaces next to the circle. As a shape and graphically, we like the logo. However, we also think it is not very distinctive yet. Somehow, it is not catchy enough and one of the reasons might be that the stars and the moon are too detailed? The rest of the design is also quite detailed (stripes in red, white marks around the circle) which makes the logo a bit messy in a way, not strong enough.

Also, by using several font types, plus several colours for the letters, this might add on to this feeling.

Thank you again, and we hope with this feedback you would like to develop a new version.

Kind regards,

Karen and co.

Dear Marja,
Thank you again so much for your quick response and nice graphics. The one with the Malaysian map: we don't think this is going to result in the logo we would like to have, to be short. However, some of the elements in it, which you use in the other two proposals, are nice.

About the other ones, we quite like the bottom one. Due to the flowing stripe, it is a dynamic, it it simple, distinctive and yet strong because of the blue square that gives it a sturdy, firm basis, in a business colour.

Font: We don't really like the font type you use with this logo, to be honoust: it may be too classical, a bit old fashioned and we do not use the dash, nor the star is appropriate it that spot we feel. The simple way ou use the letters in the two upper proposals look better, actually.

Carefull suggestion: how about the shape of one star instead of the stripes at the left side? Do you think that would be nice?

Leaves us the middle logo: In a way, we like it, it is a bit more playful than the third one, a bit less businesslike. The letters are better here, as mentioned before.

Hope this will help you further, looking forward to it!

Karen

Hai karen

Here are some more studies for the logo, two studies voor logo 2, i tried to make it more businesslike en three studies voor logo 3.

I understood you didn't like the fonttype, so these studies are made with a less classic font.. (... ik bedoel een schreefloze lettertype ipv een schreefletter)

Best wishes

Hi Marja,
Thanks for your new proposals, again.

Our preference goes for the one with the squre. The one with the circle looks like a stamp, don't you think?

What I meant by the star was showing it half in the square. like you did with the white stripes. I can imaging a white silhouette of a star would give an impression of the connection with Malaysia/EU wothout being too obvious.

Maybe you would like to show that one?

I also like the modern (sans-serif) letters better.

Thanks

Karen

Hi karen

I don't know if people recognized the shape of de star half showing in the square as the european star. Here are three studies, the star each time more recognizable.

Hope to hear form you soon

Marja

I like number two!
I agree that the first one is perhaps less likely to be recognised immediately. Number two is much better.

Let us chew on it for a while...

thanks!

Dear Marja,
Your logo with the 2/3 star (middle one of your last set) attracts us. We have looked at it with the team and some fresh eyes mentioned that the EU yellow is not in anymore. Is there a way to introduce the yellow again? Preferably not in the letters but in the logo itself.

Meanwhile, the decision making process has started. We have a 'jury' but also other collegues would like to have a look. This might take a while so please be patient.

thank you!

Karen
