Kort: iBuild ontwikkelt visualisatie software waarmee toekomstige bewoners van huizen zelf aanpassingen kunnen doorvoeren in materiaalkeuze, afwerking, indeling, deuren en kozijnen etc. iBuild “green” wordt een visualisatie en calculatie tool waarmee dit ook kan maar dan gebruikmakend van een database met duurzame bouwmaterialen en energiebesparende oplossingen. Ibuild hoopt op deze manier een bijdrage te kunnen leveren aan duurzame woningbouw.

De particuliere gebruiker kan met de software en database van iBuild zijn (conform bestemmingsplan) gekozen nieuwe woning, thuis en in zijn eigen tempo op maat maken. En hij of zij kan de woning driedimensionaal visualiseren van binnen (met inrichting) en van buiten. Via het woning advies centrum kan de consument zijn woning vervolgens op de virtuele (wijk-)maquette plaatsen en het bouwproces initiëren.

iBuild Green - toolbox for sustainable building & construction (English)
The concept is also known as “Green building” or “Sustainable building” which comes down to the practice of creating structures and using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and deconstruction. This practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort. Although new technologies are constantly being developed to complement current practices in creating greener structures, the common objective is that green buildings are designed to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by:
• Efficiently using energy, water, and other resources
• Protecting occupant health and improving employee productivity
• Reducing waste, pollution and environmental degradation
The foundation of any “green” construction project is rooted in the concept and design stages and therefore iBuild can play a significant role. The existing iBuild configuration software will be linked to a database which holds a collection of eco-friendly construction materials, energy efficient installations and other eco-solutions that are available on the European market today. For architects and designers the software calculates the eco impact of an existing design and generates alternatives and solutions with lower ecological impact. We can imagine that the system can produce an energy efficiency label that meets standards of existing and future regulations and requirements. With the system and service architects and designers can better fulfill the needs of the market and meet existing and new governmental regulations for ecological building.

Uitstraling:
Het ontwerp moet duidelijke associaties oproepen duurzame woningbouw en projectontwikkeling en met (3d) ontwerpsoftware. We zoeken niet per se de groene eco-look maar wel een toekomstgerichte, moderne uitstraling met oog voor duurzaam gebruik van grondstoffen. Het logo mag 3d componenten omvatten maar dat hoeft niet noodzakelijkerwijs.

Er moet mogelijkheden zijn in een tekstregel of pay off uit te leggen waar iBuild voor staat.
